The Sea Dream Experience

My oh my, where do I start? First I was super stressed that I would miss the boat and they would sail without me. My flight was late. As I arrived in #Stmaarten (SXM), I had to remind myself that I was headed to a stress free zone and needed to calm down and think positive. I took a deep breath and as soon as I reached the baggage claim, a gentleman came right up to me, warmly introduced himself (Barry), showed me his chauffeur credentials and politely asked where I needed to go. I told him I had 10 minutes to get to the French side of the island, St. Martin before #seadreamyachtclub sailed away. He laughed and assured me that they would wait and not leave me behind. While riding in the smooth town car with soft calypso music playing on the radio, I could finally enjoy the beautiful view of the island passing by.

After a few minutes, the view of the lush hills began to diminish and I could make out the port. Barry called out "Madam I see your ship, they are still here!" and I could have cried from relief. As he parked, the porters came right up and whisked my bags away. I tipped Barry and thanked him for the ride and made my way up the gangway. As I reached the top of the steps, a gentlemen dressed like the captain (all in white) held his hand out to me and helped me onto the ship. With a grand smile, he said "welcome Mrs. Nikiema to the Sea Dream II", handed me an ice cold virgin Sangria and a cool scented hand towel to wipe my face. They remembered that I don't drink! Whatever the concoction was, it tasted divine. Not even two minutes on the ship and I'm being treated like royalty. Indeed, on this trip I will definitely be #pampered.
